Born and raised in New York City, Stacy relocated to North Carolina in 2016. While in New York, Stacy received her BA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Prior to joining UNC, she worked for Cornell University ILR School as a program coordinator for the Worker Institute for 16 years and served as the union shop steward for 12 of those years. While at Cornell, she also earned certificates in Labor Studies and Supervisory Skills.

I am not into podcasts. However, I love all things “crime mystery” (i.e. Criminal Minds and Forensic Files).

Best perk of your job?

The best perk about my job thus far has been being able to help students as they navigate this educational labyrinth and being an ally and an advocate when necessary.

In an alternate universe, what would you do for a living?

I would be the founder of a non-profit organization designed to help women and teen girls assimilate back into society after incarceration. Providing job training and placement assistance.

Name three things that people would be most surprised to learn about you.

I am very competitive when playing family games; I hope to one day be a motivational speaker; I love to watch boxing.

What's on your bucket list?

To become a world traveler.

Whom do you admire...and why?

I admire all breast cancer survivors that suffer in silence while wearing a smile every day.
