Kennedy is from Cary, North Carolina. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Journalism with minors in Entrepreneurship and Social & Economic Justice.

As a recent Class of 2022 graduate, Kennedy has been a part of the University Office for Diversity and Inclusion and  Carolina for four years, previously serving in the office as a Student Ambassador and Project Uplift Counselor. There, she worked closely with the office to promote and implement programs for prospective and current students of diverse backgrounds as they prepared for Carolina.

I get to give back and work with a community that developed and supported me as an undergraduate student.

I would be a professional dancer that traveled the world on tour

Whom do you admire...and why?

I admire a lot of people, but above all, I admire people of color that are not afraid to be the only or first in a room in order to make a difference. They make a seat for themselves at “the table” and bring more for others.
