FAQs:

My high school is yearlong so my transcript does not include grades for the first semester of 11th grade. What should I do?
Please email project_uplift@unc.edu to notify us if this is your situation. Be sure to email us as soon as possible, before the application deadline.

How do I register for Project Uplift or Uplift PLUS?
If you are invited to attend, you will receive an email in April with a link to register. Be sure to check your junk mailbox. If you feel you did not receive an email, please email project_uplift@unc.edu.

When is the deadline to register?
You will receive a registration link if invited to attend. The deadline to register for Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS will be in May 2024.

Is there a cost to participate in Project Uplift?
The cost for Project Uplift 2024 is $50. You will submit your payment online when registering.

What is the schedule for Project Uplift?
A sample schedule (subject to change) for all sessions can be found on the Preparing for Project Uplift page.

Is there a cost to participate in Uplift PLUS?
Yes. The cost for Uplift PLUS 2024 is $1200, including a $100 non-refundable deposit.

What if I can’t afford the Uplift PLUS cost?
Scholarships are available. The scholarship application will be shared with students who are invited to participate.

What is the Uplift PLUS schedule?

What are the benefits of attending Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS?
Project Uplift allows you to experience Carolina for yourself and gain essential information. Uplift PLUS will challenge and encourage you to become a leader. You will leave wanting to know more about yourself and others and how to make the college experience work for you.

Will Project Uplift or Uplift PLUS guarantee my admission to UNC?
No. Participation in either program does not guarantee admission to Carolina. However, Project Uplift is one of many ways to learn about student life at UNC and learn about the application process. Uplift PLUS introduces you to the various resources, departments and opportunities available at Carolina and equips participants with the knowledge and skills to write a competitive college admissions essay.
