August 18, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until August 25, 2020

Join the NC Council for Women & Youth Involvement, the NC Department of Administration, and the Institute for Women’s Policy Research for the launch of the 2020 Status of Women in NC Report – Political Participation. These virtual sessions are free and open to the public.

While women in North Carolina have been voting at slightly higher rates in recent years, their representation in elected office has declined.

Join these session to hear about successes and obstacles to women’s political participation in North Carolina from women statewide and local elected officials, and researchers from IWPR.

Attend 1, 2, or all 3 events in August – all leading up to Women’s Equality Day. All three events will be virtual, making it possible for you to attend as many as you want from wherever you are.
