Targeting Equity in Access to Mentoring (TEAM) ADVANCE Information Session – VIRTUAL

August 24 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Targeting Equity in Access to Mentoring (TEAM) ADVANCE will host two information sessions about their 2021-22 faculty mentoring programs. The first takes place on Aug. 23 and is in-person (see calendar). This second session will be virtual. Faculty are invited to meet the project team, hear from past participants and learn more about:

  • TEAM ADVANCE Faculty Mentor Training, for faculty (all ranks) seeking to enhance their mentoring with equitable, intersectionality-informed skills.
  • Women ADVANCE Leadership, for mid-career women faculty (tenured and fixed-term), to enhance their skills and advance into leadership roles.
  • TEAM ADVANCE Peer Mentoring Circles, peer-based mentoring for early-career faculty (pre-tenure and fixed-term) seeking to advance their professional goals, build community, and become self-advocates.

TEAM ADVANCE provides intersectionality-informed programs to improve mentor and mentee experiences, support faculty retention, and promote faculty development and achievements. Funded by the National Science Foundation (Award No. 1760187), our emphasis is on systemic change to support women of color and white women in STEM and related fields. In addition, we welcome non-STEM faculty and departments to our programming as we strive to build a culture of equitable, effective mentoring across the University.
