Panel Discussion: Discrimination in the Labor Market

October 10, 2017 @ 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm

What are some theories behind racial, gender and other types of discrimination in the labor market? What occupations are particularly affected by discrimination? Is there a way to intervene and solve this issue? These are all important questions that are being studied in many fields, including economics.

The Carolina Economics Club and Women in Economics introduce “Discrimination  in the Labor Market,” the first of many socioeconomic and policy-oriented events that the Carolina Economics Club will hold. Dr. Kalina Staub and Dr. Luca Flabbi will share their perspectives on discrimination in the labor market.
