MLK Jr. Day of Service Project
January 16 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The MLK Day of Service Project empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.”
On Monday, January 16, 2023, we will continue MLK’s legacy of civic engagement and service by participating in a collaborative service project with the community by shepherding a food drive. Donations to the food drive should be nonperishable items. The first 20 people to bring four (4) nonperishable items will receive free entry to the Maris Gras Bowling Alley, 1-hour free bowing (including shoes), and a free t-shirt. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to win door prizes. Contributions received from the food drive will be donated to Carolina Cupboard, a local organization that provides food assistance to individuals in the UNC community.
