LGBTQ Graduate Speaker Series: “Nicaraguan Legacies: Advances and Setbacks in Feminism & LGBTQ Activism”

Dr. Florence Babb (Harrington Distinguished Professor, Department of Anthropology) will present Nicaraguan Legacies: Advances and Setbacks in Feminism and LGBTQ Activism.

This informal presentation and discussion will trace the last three decades of feminist and LGBTQ cultural politics in Nicaragua. Dr. Babb will offer a perspective as a feminist anthropologist and participant in these emergent movements.
