Documentary: “Berta didn’t die, she multiplied”/”Berta no se murió, se multiplicó”

This documentary about the life and legacy of Honduran indigenous, feminist, environmental activist Berta Cáceras (in Spanish/Garifuna with English subtitles) is in honor of International Women’s Day (March 8th) and the 2nd anniversary of Cáceras’ assassination (March 3rd).

Cáceras was a well-known indigenous leader and environmental activist in Honduras who co-founded the Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras. In 2015 she was awarded the Goldman Environmental prize for her work protecting Indigenous land from the Agua Zarca dam project. Come and learn more about her life. work, and the continued struggle!
