DOCSpeaks: Microaggressions and Macroaggressions During the Clinical Encounter

DOCSpeaks are short talks on cultural competence. Dinushika Mohottige, MD, MPH will speak on Microaggressions and Macroaggressions During the Clinical Encounter.

Mohotige has championed an intersectional approach to diversity, inclusion and equity-focused research and advocacy throughout her career. She is a member of the Civility Leadership Team in the Duke Department of Medicine, which was designed to promote and maintain a culture of diversity, respect and inclusion by providing resources and support for incidents of bias and harassment.

DOCSpeaks is an iteration of the Dental and Oral health Community Scholars (DOCS)  Scholars Program featuring TEDTalk length cogent talks that intersect with cultural competence and healthcare.
All sessions will feature 20 minute talks (anyone may attend) followed by a 30 minute breakout session (with a small cohort of DOC Scholars).
