Join us as we discuss creating a space for Black Entrepreneurs!

The Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Entrepreneurship (Eship) Center has publicly expressed our support of the Black Lives Matter movement and we are committed to diversity and being allies to the black community. We will continue to prioritize increasing representation and inclusion in the work that we do at UNC and in the greater community. This session will focus on discussing the various journeys of Black entrepreneurs in our ecosystem.


Amie ThompsonPresident and CEO, Creative Allies

As the President and CEO of Creative Allies, she brings the perspective of leading an organization through this period. Her agency brings branding and marketing expertise to a variety of clients, so she can also speak to the challenges of managing a B2B business during this time.

Bill Spruill, Managing Partner, Global Data Consortium

Bill Spruill is the co-founder and CEO of Raleigh’s Global Data Consortium (GDC). With more than 20 years of experience in Enterprise Data Management, Bill has had broad experience with the challenges facing high growth technology companies. He has built and executed more than 50 alliance deals generating more than $80MM in revenues during his career.

Dana is the President and CEO, Benton Newell Communication with expertise in creative services and marketing communications experience. Dana’s agency works with emerging, small and mid-sized businesses to create strategies for revenue-producing profit centers.
