Conversations on Anti-Black Violence and Tools for Navigating the Classroom Workshop

The Departments of Sociology and Anthropology, along with the Institute of African American Research, are hosting a workshop: “Conversations on Anti-Black Violence and Tools for Navigating the Classroom.”

Facilitated by Dr. Eddie Moore of the Privilege Institute, the workshop will provide instructors with tips and insights for dealing with challenging conversations about race and racism that may come up in the classroom due  to current events.

Two identical three-hour sessions will be offered on August 3rd, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.  Faculty and graduate students who teach their own classes or discussion sections are eligible to participate.
