Coffee & Conversations: Race, Masculinity and Leadership

February 12, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Leadership. It’s a word we all value and prize in society, something we attempt to develop at a university. But what does it mean to be a leader in today’s world, and who do we traditionally think of as leaders? How do men, in particular men of color, embody leadership? What does society tell us about leadership, and how do other’s perceptions of us affect the way we lead? How do we work to bring others up as we lead?

Join us as we explore how gender and race intersect to affect the way we lead and work. This event is a part of the Coffee & Conversations series hosted by hha!, the Carolina Women’s Center, and the Men’s Project.

This event is free and open to the public and will feature coffee and donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts.

CnC’s are an hour long and are guided by trained hha! peer educators. We look forward to seeing you there!
