Carolina’s Black Trailblazers: An Intergenerational Conversation “Spaces of Belonging”
October 7, 2020 @ 4:30 pm
The second of three webinars where members of Carolina’s Black alumni and students discuss various dimensions of Black Carolina life from the 1960’s-present. How have students across different generations experienced the racial climate at Carolina and what could a socially equitable campus look like? What does it mean to be Black and belong at Carolina and what are the spaces for Black student belonging? What can an inclusive and equitable UNC physical and social landscape look like? Join us as panelists address these questions and more in an unprecedented and timely conversation.
Moderated by Sibby Anderson Thompkins, Special Advisor to the Provost and Chancellor for Equity & Inclusion/Interim Chief Diversity Officer. Welcome by Joseph Jordan, Interim Vice Provost for Academic and Community Engagement.
