The UNC Carolina Women’s Center presents a Carolina Seminar on Human Trafficking

What is Human Trafficking?

According to the Project No Rest website, “Human Trafficking is defined as forcing, fooling, or frightening someone into performing labor or sex acts for profit.”

What you can expect to learn:

  • The nature and prevalence of Human Trafficking and how you can recognize it.
  • What the long-term implications are for victims.
  • What’s being done to address Human Trafficking, with respect to prevention, intervention, and response.
  • What you can do to help.

An expert panel of faculty researchers, government and legal officials will provide a wealth of information. Plan to join us if you can.
