Carolina Conversations: “What does it mean to be a Public University?”
April 17, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
What does it mean to be a public university? What does it mean if you are a student? A faculty member? A professional staff member? Does its meaning change in the face of declining public financial support? Are there advantages to being a public university? Disadvantages? This Carolina Conversation will explore what it means to be a public university through an engaging, participatory dialogue from a range of perspectives. Please join the conversation. All you need to bring is an open mind.
Presented by Michael Smith, Dean, School of Government and Frayda Bluestein, David M. Lawrence Distinguished Professor of Public Law & Government. Facilitated by Dr. G. Rumay Alexander, Associate Vice Chancellor/Chief Diversity Officer.
Hosted by the University Office for Diversity & Inclusion
