Black Students Safe Space
April 27, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Unite with fellow Black peers students for a safe space to discuss racial trauma and healthy support techniques for yourself and your friends in the midst of continual police violence against Black individuals and communities in the United States.
Faye Hobgood, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at CAPS and a member of the Multicultural Health Program will be present to lead a brief meditation and help facilitate the conversation. Some Black faculty members will also be present.
In order to protect the space and the vulnerability of students’ feelings, we ask that only Black-identifying students attend. Media presence is not permitted and the conversation will not be recorded.
