Each summer, the University Office for Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) sponsors Uplift PLUS. Uplift PLUS is a five-week program during Carolina’s Summer Session II, in which participants live on campus, attend SAT/ACT coaching sessions, and take English 100 – a 3 credit hour course.

This program serves as an opportunity for the entire campus community to contribute to the rich diversity of Carolina’s applicant pool. We hope that your unit/school/division will consider getting involved in one or more of the following way:

    • In-depth learning session – 1.5 hours
      • This session will offer students an in-depth and hands-on learning opportunity.
      • These sessions should be more detailed and differentiated than Project Uplift sessions.
      • Examples of past sessions include: Physical Therapy Simulation Lab, Makerspace Workshop, Theory of Design Workshop, and Chemistry Lab simulations.

We ask that you commit to one or more sessions on the dates below from 10:15-11:45am during the following Uplift PLUS program dates: 6/24/18 – 7/27/18.
