The University Office for Diversity and Inclusion sponsors Día de Bienvenida (Day of Welcome) annually to enhance the diversity of Carolina’s undergraduate population by inviting Latinx students who have been accepted to UNC for the Fall 2018 semester. Upon your acceptance to Carolina, a special invitation will be extended to you and your family.

This program is designed to assist parents and students during the deliberation stage to clarify any remaining questions or concerns about the University. You will have an opportunity to take a closer look at Carolina from the Latinx perspective.

As a participant in Día de Bienvenida, you will have an opportunity to speak with selected faculty, staff, and students who can assist you in becoming better acquainted with UNC-Chapel Hill. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Carolina Latinx Collaborative (CLC) and learn more about our Latinx Peer Mentoring Program (LPMP). We highly recommend this program if you’ve never attended any UNC events, or still have questions about Carolina.

We also encourage you to attend Admitted Student Day, which takes place the following day (April 15th, 2018). This event will allow you to celebrate with all admitted students and learn more about what life is like as a Carolina student.

Program Date: Saturday, April 14, 2018
