Antoinette Bullard (she/her/hers) serves as the Administrative Assistant for Diversity and Inclusion and ensures all office programs run smoothly and efficiently. Her previous work in higher education prepared her well for the rigors of our many programs, events and initiatives dealing with the student population. As a College Advisor with the NC State College Advising Corps, she assisted in the college-going process for first-generation high school students. She also worked as an Academic Skills and Academic Recovery Specialist to bridge academic skills gaps that helped students persist through their college career. “Helping students gain access to college, retaining them through the college and preparing them for life in college was my focus. It’s vital that they succeed and I am proud to have been a part of that process for so many students,” she says.
Hailing from Maysville, NC, Antoinette found her employment with UODI to be a perfect match for her skills and passion. “It is great to be a part of an office that supports students before, through and after college as I have before,” she says. “I look forward to continuing my work to ensure that students – as well as faculty and staff – are supported through my administrative efforts.”
When she’s away from the office, Antoinette enjoys traveling with her husband and having spontaneous outside adventures with her son.

Best perk of your job?
The best part of my job is being able to be a part of a team that is very supportive and loving. We stand strong and united to advocate for Diversity Equity and Inclusion for all on this campus.
In an alternate universe, what would you do for a living?
I would be the President of the United States (POTUS).
Name three things that people would be most surprised to learn about you.
I enjoy mudding, fishing, and hiking; I was in the audience of The Price is Right, and I never had a single fist fight in my life.
What’s in your bucket list?
I would love to bike across the country and visit all 50 states in 30 days.
Whom do you admire…and why?
I admire my grandmother. She was the most God fearing, strong and hardworking woman that I knew. If you ever imagined a living Proverbs 31 Woman, she was it. A humble woman of love and strength for others. I strive to model that and so much more every day.
