Latinx Heritage Month is observed from Sept.15 through Oct. 15. At UNC, the Carolina Latinx Center. This nationally recognized month honors the contributions made by Latinx Americans to the United States and celebrates their heritage and cultures. Latinx people have had a profound and positive influence on our country through their strong commitment to family, hard work, service and religious values. Latinxs have enhanced and shaped our national character with their traditions that reflect the multi-ethnic and multi-national customs.

The Carolina Latinx Center and its campus partners will host a multitude of events during LHM, including watch parties, a cook-along, Latinx Zumba class, NC Latin American Film Festival, film screenings and discussions, Coronao (Latin Night), panel discussion, guest speakers, Nuestra Cultura and the 2020 Latinx 20 Under 20 Virtual Gala.
