The University Office for Diversity & Inclusion’s leadership is following the guidelines of the UNC-Chapel Hill Task Force dedicated to planning the University’s response to COVID-19. The well-being of our students and their families, faculty and staff is our top priority.
Although Spring 2020 events with 50 or more people have been canceled in keeping with the University’s protocol regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have not yet made a decision about Summer 2020 programming. Currently, we have no plans in place to cancel any of our summer educational programs (Project Uplift, Uplift PLUS and North Carolina Renaissance). We still plan to open registration at the end of March for Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS and the end of April for North Carolina Renaissance. However, if Coronavirus (COVID-19) forces our office to cancel summer institutes prior to their start dates, all enrolled students will receive a refund for payments they have made toward the cost of the programs. We will provide a final update by the end of April 2020.
Further updates will be communicated via email as the situation continues to unfold. We appreciate your flexibility as we prioritize the health of you, your family and our community.
