Applications are being accepted for the 2019 Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship.

For the past 30 years, students who have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life for all in our University have been awarded the annual MLK scholarships through the University Office for Diversity and Inclusion. The scholarship is open to all JUNIORS at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Any junior may apply without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability, whose public and private community activities demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life of our community and campus.

The 2019 Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship guidelines and application form are now available online on the University Office for Diversity and Inclusion website at http://go.unc.edu/MLKSch19

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22nd, 2018.

Selected candidates will be contacted for a face-to face interview and selection of three finalists on December 6th, 2018.

The Scholarship Award ceremony will take place during the annual MLK Week of Celebrations Keynote Lecture in January of 2019.
