The University Office for Diversity & Inclusion invites you to take part in the annual Diversity THINKposium. This year’s theme, Belonging…What a Feeling, places particular importance on individuals’ affinity, community, and engagement at Carolina. Attendees will participate in several interactive workshops, robust panel discussions, and small group breakout sessions that will delve deeper into the principles and tenets of Belonging.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from senior University leadership as well as Barbara L. Fredrickson, PhD, Kenan Distinguished Professor of Psychology, who will deliver the keynote. Afternoon breakout sessions will have participants discussing strategies and collaborations to incorporate belonging into everyday practice, policies, and programs. A closing plenary panel will connect campus initiatives and plans to build respect, appreciation, and resources to support a culture of cultivating belonging.

THINKposium: Belonging…What a Feeling will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. The THINKposium is free to attend but requires registration due to limited seating. To confirm your attendance, simply register here by Aug. 17 to reserve your seat at the event.
