As the public flagship university of North Carolina, UNC-Chapel Hill is committed to supporting the needs of veterans and military families. Our state’s broad military presence and thriving military community provides an increasing number of service members who enroll at Carolina as students. We consider veterans and all of our military constituents to be an integral facet of our institution’s diversity and inclusion efforts. We also understand that the needs of former and present service members and their families might be similar to those of other students and families, but in some cases might be quite unique. Diversity and Multicultural Affairs works collaboratively with campus partners in Admissions, Student Affairs, the Office of the Registrar and Financial Aid to ensure that Carolina has an environment supportive of a growing military presence on our campus.
